10 reasons why you should come to us when you need a crown. We offer same-day crown service.

If you have a cracked, chipped, broken, or otherwise damaged  tooth, it is likely you will need a crown. Many dentists can take days, or weeks, to replace a crown. In most cases, at Carson & Acasio, you can walk in and walk out the same day with your shiny, new crown.

Reason 1 - No Need for Temporaries

When you need a crown, your new tooth needs to be fitted. If your dentist can’t make a crown on site, he will provide a temporary which is nothing more than a Band-Aid. They aren’t designed to look good, or fit properly, and they often break or fall out while you are waiting for your permanent crown.

Reason 2 - Save Time

How many trips do you want to make to the dentist? Unless your dentist has its own lab, you come in for one appointment, then have to come in days or weeks later for the permanent crown. Wouldn’t you rather come in one time, and leave with your new crown?

Reason 3 - High Quality Ceramic Material

Our same day, permanent crowns, are produced with a high quality, ceramic material. After your new crown is milled, it is baked and polished before it is ready to be placed in your mouth. The crown materials have many of the same properties as your naturally occurring tooth enamel. They are super smooth … much like your original teeth.

Reason 4 - You Get an Exact Fit

We use a magic wand to take exacting measurements of your teeth and mouth. Then our technician uses a computer to view the images we took, and with exacting precision we are able to create your crown which fits perfectly and provides a normal bite. In fact, your new crown may even be a better fit than the original tooth.

Reason 5 - No More Dental Putty

Great news for those who despise dental putty. Let’s face it. Dental putty is just plain nasty. It tastes terrible and no one likes having it in their mouth while a dentist is taking an impression.

With new digital mapping technology, and the sophisticated equipment we use for creating your crown, everything from start to finish is done in our office.

Reason 6 - Our Crowns Look Better

Traditional crowns often leave a black line along your gum line. And they are never the same color as your original teeth.

Same day crowns are meant to be a functional and aesthetically pleasing replacement for your tooth … both in shape and in color.

Feel free to smile with confidence no matter what the occasion with your new crown.

Reason 7 - Same Day Crowns Allow for Simpler Tooth Restorations

Many people who have had traditional crowns have to return sometime down the road to have them replaced as they just aren’t as good as those we create with the latest technology and equipment in our lab.

With our same day crowns, it’s a simple process to restore most teeth in one trip to the office, rather than having the process drag out for weeks, and then be unsatisfied with the final result.

You’ll enjoy eating again … the same day.

Reason 8 - We Preserve More of Your Existing Tooth

Because of the precise way we measure and make our crowns, we most often can save more of the original tooth. Read: less drilling is required which is one reason people avoid the dentist.

Reason 9 - Long Durability

When you chew, your bite puts a great deal of pressure on your upper and lower teeth. Our crowns are made to last … and withstand the tests of long-term use and the food and beverages one consumes.

Reason 10 - Our Crowns Provide Great Comfort

When a patient leaves our office, a crown we produce and install will have a perfect fit … both in relation to neighboring teeth and the bite between your two rows of teeth. Indeed, daily cleansing may be easier and more thorough with the crowns we make for your same day experience.

The tools and technology we utilize to make our same-day crowns:

  1. Primescan (the wand that takes images of your mouth and teeth)

  2. Cerec software (where we create the template for your crown)

  3. CAD/CAM materials and blocks (the raw materials for the crown)

  4. Cerec MC X milling and grinding machine (this shapes the crown)

  5. Cerec SpeedFire (this machine cures the crown and prepares it for final polishing

  6. A finished crown ... ready to be placed in your mouth

Are you sold?

If you need simple restorative dentistry, a same day crown may be just the ticket. When you make an appointment with us, we will evaluate your situation and offer you the best solution for your particular case.

If it’s a crown, you may smile when you learn we can remedy that annoying tooth problem in one day.

Note: There are a few cases when we do need to create custom temporary crowns. These would include very large cases, especially in the anterior/front region when custom colors, a trial run and/or detail shading is necessary. A dental lab technician is required to add the necessary accents/details which takes an extra appointment.
